Jorgenson Music provided audio, lights, DJ and emcee services at a country-themed wedding reception at the Archuleta County Extension Building in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The venue offers a fabulous dance floor with plenty of room for tables. For audio at this event, we brought two sets of 2000 watt subwoofers (4 total) to provide good bass for the club music that requested later in the night. We also had four 2500 watt two-way speakers up high for crystal-clear clarity and sound that didn't have to be loud to provide an amazing dance experience. The larger speakers meant the speeches given by several members of the wedding party were easy to hear and understand (without distortion that often happens when a DJ brings smaller speakers and tries to push sound into a big room).
We used corner and wall uplighting to add ambiance, and used a gentle haze with our Chauvet 4-Play DJ lights to make the large venue look like a real dance club. The result was a fun country dance earlier in the evening and a booming dance club for those that stayed to the end and had definitely non-country song requests!
Our emcee kept the event moving along using a pre-planned schedule and made sure special events such as wedding party entrance, first dances, speeches, dollar dance, and last call happened when and how they were supposed to.
