At the end of an audio season in Summit County we would do a final load-out of 10 tons of sound equipment and send each set of speakers, amps, cords and accessories to their winter homes. When Jorgenson Music relocated to Pagosa Springs, Colorado in 2019, after 10 years providing high-end audio services to festivals and summer venues throughout Summit County, we brought with us a rig of equipment that is suitable for small to medium -sized indoor and outdoor events, and each spring is the time to pull out all the gear and prepare for another season of amazing sound.
Wolfgang Jorgenson began training as an audio engineer in 2009 and found his specialty of running stage monitors for local and national acts. In addition to making music sound good to the audience, allowing live performers on stage to clearly hear the music for each of their instruments helps them put on the best show possible. It’s amazing how much better a musician plays when they can hear their own music!
With a start in DJing at the prestigious Toby Keith’s Bar and Restaurant in Denver, Colorado, Wolfgang used his decades of experience as a band member to learn how to read a crowd and ensure that the audience comes first when providing DJ services. If you’ve attended an event where the wedding DJ is playing the music she or he likes rather than paying attention to the reaction of the listeners, you’ll know the importance of making sure not only is the sound great, but also ensuring the DJ providing the sounds is not just someone playing songs on a phone or laptop. The summer of 2020 had little to no live music venues, large gatherings or wedding parties, but we’re hoping that 2021 will be filled with the sound of in-person music! We’ve pulled out our gear and done end-to-end testing to make sure we’re ready to provide the same amazing, high-quality sound in Pagosa Springs that Summit County audiences were used to.
